Live Stage: Michael Szpakowski [
London]

Please join us for drinks to celebrate the launch of A Collective Memory of Childhood by Michael Szpakowski :: July 28, 2012; 2:00 – 5:00 pm :: Furtherfield Gallery & Social Space, McKenzie Pavilion, Finsbury Park, London, N4 2NQ.
Artist and composer Michael Szpakowski has worked with local children and their families to create a generative sound sculpture that invokes the collective memory of childhood, drawing on the memories of Haringey residents from all over the world.
The resulting immersive soundscape mixes fragments of a magical and gentle Summer music composed by Szpakowski with children’s rhymes spoken by many generations in endless variations. The work will be audible during daylight opening hours from July to September 2012.
The project is part of PARK ART in Haringey – an alternative, multi-venue sculpture park for the London Borough of Haringey, produced by UP Projects in partnership with Haringey Council and supported by Arts Council England.
Furtherfield is supported by Arts Council England and Haringey Council
