Gathering at Mobius art space, Boston-based participants van a juntar con bailarinas en Santa Marta, Colombia for the class. Participants will aprender los pasos basicos and groove away the evening – ambos Americanos, unas del Norte y otras del Sur. Connected via web cam and video projection, los dos grupos van a layer languages, movement y gestos for one night of cross-frontera dancing.
The class will be led by Andi Sutton (in Santa Marta) y Maria Cristina Agudelo Guerrero (en Boston).
This performance is co-produced by Platform2: Art and Social Engagement and Espacios Alternativos, an initiative of the Museo Bolivariano de Arte Contemporaneo supporting contemporary artists from Santa Marta, Colombia.
