For every day of 2009, Brian Ledwidge Flynn is posting a new short piece of music or ’structured sound’ on this site. This is the Abraxas project. Abraxas is a reference to mystical Greek symbols engraved on gems and stones among the ancients. The letters of Abraxas (αβραξας), in the Greek system of alphabetic numerology, sum to the number 365.

Brian Ledwidge Flynn is a composer of diverse styles of music for commercial and artistic media. A graduate of Music from Trinity College Dublin Brian has worked with the B.B.C. and composed music for a number of multi-media and broadcast productions. His music has featured on radio and has been performed at numerous festivals both at home and abroad.
